It isn't always easy to eat healthy while subsisting on a steady diet of Ramen noodles and pancake mix. While you try to make the best nutritional choices on a limited income, it isn't always easy coming up with creative new ways to serve up macaroni and cheese.

While most of your culinary choices might be modest, at least it doesn't have to be the same boring thing each night.

If you have a recipe idea that helped you through the lean times, share it with Barry, and we'll post it here.

Dear Barry:

My dad told me he won't pay for any more of my college credits. I have no job, and only 15 bucks to my name. I don't qualify for many scholarships and grants because I am still a high school student. If you have any ideas how I can make up my tuition for my books and following semesters I would greatly apreciate it.

Distraught In Denver

Dear Distraught,

Life is full of risks and gambles. And if you were old enough, I'd suggest online poker. But life--and state gambling laws--just aren't fair. So Distraught, all I can suggest is that you stay in school, and work on your pouty look, because I'm sure dad would rather shell out college money for his daughter's future career, than have her living at home until she's thirty.

Barry
